Debut EP from ZXL, the live wire of NYC's electronica scene. Born in 2008 from a collaboration between folktronica mastermind Zack Hagan and improv-dance duo 1050 (Alan D & YN), ZXL pushes the boundaries of man and machine, with a repertoire traversing a host of genres, from drum 'n bass to deep house, jazz-funk to noise-pop, trip-hop to disco to ambient. Onstage they deliver a seamless listening experience, fusing vibrant compositions with free-form grooves that propel audiences into dance frenzy. A favorite of the East Coast rave revival scene, ZXL is frequently the only full band booked on DJ-dominated dance music bills. Past shows include CMJ, NXNE, Camp Bisco, PEX Decompression, Stranded! & the JT3 Art Awards at BAMcafe.
